Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information The Top 1% Career Club collects on top1percentcareerclub.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The club is run by M Matiur Rahaman (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for your information under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. What we collect

We only collect what you type into our forms:

• Clarity Call application: your name, email address, mobile number, company, designation and the career challenge you describe.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
• Reader Toolkit: your name and email address, and, if you choose to give them, your mobile number, company, designation, years of experience and whether you want the newsletter.

With each form we also record the date and time and which page you sent it from. We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information such as health, financial or identity-document details. Please do not include them in your messages.

2. Why we use it

• To review your Clarity Call application and contact you about it.
• To send you the newsletter you signed up for.
• To give you the Reader Toolkit and, if you asked for it, the newsletter.
• To send you a confirmation email when you submit a form.
• To keep the website secure and filter out spam and fake submissions.

We use your information because you gave it to us for these purposes. We do not sell it, rent it out or share it with advertisers.

3. Who else handles it

We use a few trusted services to run the website. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

• Google: our form submissions are stored in Google Sheets and our emails are sent through Gmail. When you enter an email address, your browser asks Google’s public DNS service whether that email domain can receive mail; only the part after the “@” is sent.
• Cloudflare: hosts the website and protects it from attacks. Cloudflare also tells the page which country you are visiting from, so the phone field can show the right country code.
• Hostinger: hosts our email inbox, connect@top1percentcareerclub.com.
• TagMango: runs our checkout and course platform at learn.top1percentcareerclub.com. If you pay for a Clarity Call or a course there, TagMango and its payment partners process your payment under their own privacy policy. We never see your card or bank details.

Some of these services may store information on servers outside India. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

4. Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website sets one cookie of its own: after you enter the Reader Toolkit password, a cookie remembers that you are unlocked for 30 days. Cloudflare may set its own security cookies to tell real visitors from bots. These cookies are needed for the site to work and are not used to track you.

5. How long we keep it

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Clarity Call applications and Toolkit sign-ups: for up to 24 months, unless you become a client or ask us to delete them sooner.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct or update it;
• delete it; or
• stop sending you emails. Every newsletter also has an unsubscribe link.

Write to connect@top1percentcareerclub.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Keeping it safe

Your information is kept in password-protected accounts that only we can access, and the website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

8. Children

This website is meant for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Other websites

Our pages link to other sites, such as Amazon, LinkedIn and Telegram. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our website.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
